Effective August 15 - 2010 Os Web Hosting will be altering our shared hosting packages. The starter plans will be replaced with a single $12.95 per month plan that will be based in the cloud hosting environment.

At 2:00 am Eastern Time we will be performing a hardware maintenance upgrade to the cloud environment, the result will be 5-15 minutes of downtime while the server is rebooted to a new master host.

As you might be aware, starting at 12:00 noon (Pacific Time) Jan 28 - 2010 the Jupiter server will be upgraded to our new "Cloud Hosting" service.

Steps to follow if your website or server appears to be down
Some customers have issues with getting SSL certificate warnings when trying to login and access Cpanel. The security error which you see is due to accessing a URL in which the name of the site does not exactly match the domain to which we had put on our SSL certificate.
Incoming mail server (POP3/IMAP server): mail.yourdomain.com Outgoing mail server (SMTP server): mail.yourdomain.com Or Host: mail.yourdomain.com Username: the full e-mail address. Example: you@yourdomain.com instead of you. Password: Assigned in cPanel -> Email -> Manage/Add/Remove Accounts. SMTP authentication must be enabled for the login to be successful.*
Cpanel and phpmyadmin have size limits on the files that can be uploaded through it. If you are having troubles restoring a large backup, open a support ticket and we will restore it for you from the server root.
You can easily create e-mail accounts from your hosting account Control Panel (cPanel). Here is what you need to do:
From a windows computer do the following steps: Click Start Click Run Enter "command" with out the quotes Type "tracert www.yoursite.com" with out the quotes and entering your actual domain name.
